A “human rights” organization is calling on government authorities to shut down three U.S. mosques it claims are not merely religious centers, but political entities and “breeding grounds for jihad terror.”

The American Freedom Defense Initiative, or AFDI, explains its demands are part of an 18-point plan to protect the nation from Islamic terror in the wake of the Boston Marathon bombings.

AFDI Executive Director Pamela Geller said in a statement, “In accord with those calls for responsible law enforcement regarding subversive activities in U.S. mosques, we are asking that government and law enforcement officials launch immediate investigations into the Islamic Society of Boston, the Dar al-Hijrah Mosque of Fairfax County, Va., and the Noor Center of Columbus, Ohio.”

“Any mosque advocating jihad or any aspects of Shariah that conflict with constitutional freedoms and protections should be closed,” AFDI insists.

AFDI argues shutting down the mosques wouldn’t be a violation of the Constitution’s First Amendment protecting freedom of religion, because Islam is not merely a religion, but a “political system.”

“AFDI calls for the U.S. and other non-Muslim governments to recognize officially that Islam is a political movement and so not solely religious in the strict sense of the U.S. Constitution,” the organization states on its website. “Islam in its mainstream theological formulations and its dominant form throughout its history – not ‘extremist Islam’ or ‘hijacked Islam’ or ‘Islamism,’ but Islam in the Qur’an and Sunnah as understood by Islamic jurists and theologians – can and should be regarded as an authoritarian and supremacist political system as well as a religion, and thus Muslim groups should be subject to all the scrutiny and legal requirements of political organizations, without being able to shield their political activities behind the protection of religious freedom.”

AFDI, therefore, is calling for “immediate investigation into foreign mosque funding in the West and for new legislation making foreign funding of mosques in non-Muslim nations illegal,” as well as for “surveillance of mosques and regular inspections of mosques in the U.S. and other non-Muslim nations to look for pro-violence materials.”

AFDI explained in a statement why it specifically called for closure of the three mosques in Massachusetts, Virginia and Ohio.

The Islamic Society of Boston, AFDI claims,

  • Was founded by Abdulrahman Alamoudi, now in prison for financing al-Qaida;
  • Was attended by Aafia Siddiqui, now serving an 86-year-sentence for plotting a jihad attack in New York City;
  • Was attended by Tarek Mehanna, now serving 17 years in prison for conspiring to aid al-Qaida;
  • Was attended by Ahmad Abousamra, who has fled to Syria and is wanted by the FBI;
  • Was attended by Tamerlan and Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, the accused Boston Marathon bombers.

The Dar Al-Hijrah Islamic Center in Fairfax County, Va., AFDI asserts,

  • Was established with funds from a Muslim Brotherhood group;
  • Was led by Mohammed al-Hanooti, the mosque’s imam from 1995-1999, who was named an unindicted co-conspirator in the 1993 World Trade Center bombing;
  • Was led by Anwar al-Awlaki, the mosque’s imam from 2001-2002, who the U.S. government says was involved in al-Qaida terrorist operations and has had extensive contact with three 9/11 hijackers, the Fort Hood jihad murderer and the Christmas underwear bomber;
  • Included Ahmed Omar Abu Ali, a camp counselor at the mosque now in prison for plotting to assassinate President George W. Bush;
  • Was attended by Nidal Malik Hasan, the Fort Hood jihad mass murderer.

The Noor Mosque in Columbus, Ohio, AFDI asserts,

  • Is led by Dr. Hany Saqr, previously an imam for another mosque, which at that time was the base of operations for al-Qaida, including convicted jihadists Iyman Faris, Nuradin Abdi and Christopher Paul;
  • Has been directly linked to the Somali Muslims who have gone from the U.S. back to Somali for jihad terror training;
  • Has had members who threatened the life of Rifqa Bary, a teenage girl who left Islam for Christianity.

“These mosques are not unique,” Geller claims. “There are many others like them. But they are the tip of the spear. It is time that our officials demand that they obey American laws or be held accountable for not doing so.”

AFDI asserts itself as a “human rights” organization because of its stance against the encroaching tyranny of Islam’s Shariah legal system, claiming it defends the freedom of speech from Islamic “blasphemy” laws, the freedom of conscience from the Islamic death penalty for apostasy and the the equality of rights of all people before the law – as opposed to Shariah’s “institutionalized discrimination against women and non-Muslims.”

Should U.S. mosques be shut down to reduce acts of terror?

FBI informant: Taliban already in U.S. ‘They can commit a jihad at any time. They hate America’

FBI informant: Taliban already in U.S.

‘They can commit a jihad at any time. They hate America’

A man who describes himself as an FBI informant and says he worked to infiltrate the world of terror sympathizers has told a Miami television station that members of the Taliban already are in the United States.

It was the Taliban that controlled the largely ungoverned Afghanistan when the U.S. coalition went into that nation to clean out the influences that allowed Osama bin Laden’s agenda to thrive before the 9/11 terror attacks on the U.S.

And the comments from South Floridian David Mahmood Siddiqui come just as the nation is breathing a sigh of relief over the death of one of the Boston Marathon bombing suspects, and the capture of the other.

“I am an informant and all I can tell you is that Talibans are walking freely right here in the soil of America right now, right now,” he told CBS4 in Miami.

The interview was conducted by CBS4 Chief Investigator Michele Gillen.

He told the station that America is at risk of another such attack any time.

“They can commit a jihad at any time, they hate America, you have an enemy living here in American soil, do not know when they will take action to kill innocent Americans,” he said.

Siddiqui reportedly was involved in developing evidence in a Florida alleged terror case. At the conclusion of a 29-day trial, Muslim cleric Hafiz Muhammed Sher Ali Khan, the 77-year-old former head of a mosque in Miami, was convicted of supporting terrorism.

The station obtained some of the transcripts of undercover investigatory materials in that case, and at one point, Khan said of the attempted Times Square bombing, “It would have been great had it worked out … such a brave heart.”

In that case, the government claimed Khan sent $50,000 to the Taliban in Pakistan.

“Keep one thing in mind, it may be $50,000, but you can buy an M-16 for 50 bucks in Pakistan. You can buy a belt to blow yourself away for 50 bucks,” the station reported he said.

His work included undercover stints in Miami, Pakistan and other places, he said.

In the Boston attack, a picture already has emerged of two suspects living on taxpayer funded benefits while they plotted to kill innocent people.

The Boston Herald reported Wednesday that dead terrorist suspect Tamerlan Tsarnaev, his wife and young daughter all collected welfare until 2012.

Tamerlan and his now-imprisoned brother, suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, also received benefits through their parents for an unknown period of time after they came to the U.S. about 10 years ago.

The Dagestan natives arrived in the U.S. a decade ago, and the elder made a return visit to south Asia last year – for a period of about six months.

It remains unclear whether the brothers were part of larger group or jihadist network, and the government may be the one making that more difficult to discover, too.

The biggest controversy in the investigation into the terror attack is the decision by the federal government to read Miranda rights to the surviving suspect, Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, and choose to try him in criminal court rather than designate him an enemy combatant and put him on trial before a military tribunal.

WND reported Saturday that Sens. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., John McCain, R-Ariz., and Kelly Ayotte, R-N.H., had urged President Obama to hold the surviving brother as a potential enemy combatant, denying him a government-appointed attorney and other legal rights under the “Law of War” so investigators could learn about other possible attacks.

“The suspect, based upon his actions, clearly is a good candidate for enemy combatant status. We do not want this suspect to remain silent,” they agreed.

However, as WND reported two days later, the Justice Department announced Tsarnaev was arraigned in his hospital room on one count of using and conspiring to use a weapon of mass destruction resulting in death and one count of malicious destruction of property by means of an explosive device resulting in death.

As WND also reported, the timing was a bit odd, according to Andrew C. McCarthy, the lead U.S. prosecutor in the case against Omar Abdel Rahman and his collaborators in connection with the 1993 bombing of the World Trade Center.

“It would have been good to keep him out of the criminal justice system for as long as they could have,” McCarthy told WND.

WND reported earlier that its own sources were documenting the case was linked to Iran, a report that unsettled the Islamist regime there.

It was an April 16 exclusive on WND reported that the Boston bombings were tied to the regime’s Quds Forces and the Lebanese terrorist group Hezbollah. The source added that the regime from its operational centers in South Asia is actively recruiting a new wave of terrorists from non-Arabs and from Islam’s Sunni sect to avoid any trace back to Shiite Iran and Hezbollah and to either present an apparent link to al-Qaida or individuals acting on their own.

The April 16 report also reflected WND reports of Dec. 11 and Feb. 28 in which sources within Iran said the Quds Forces were preparing for terrorist attacks within six months in the United States in collaboration with al-Qaida factions and that an operational team was on its way to the U.S.

Malkin: America’s Insane Asylum for Jihadists

Malkin: America’s Insane Asylum for Jihadists

By Michelle Malkin

In the aftermath of the Boston Marathon killing spree by foreign-born jihadists, see-no-evil bureaucrats in Washington are stubbornly defending America’s lax asylum policies. DHS Secretary Janet Napolitano told the Senate Tuesday that the screening process is rigorous, effective and extensive.

These people can’t handle the truth. Or tell it.

The Tsarnaev brothers reportedly were granted asylum by “derivative” status through their parents. After entering on short-term tourist visas, the mother and father (an ethnic Chechen Muslim) won asylum and acquired U.S. citizenship. Next, younger son Dzhokhar obtained U.S. citizenship. Older son Tamerlan, whose naturalization application was pending, traveled freely between the U.S. and the jihad recruitment zone of Dagestan, Russia, last year before the bombers’ gunfight in Watertown, Mass., last week left the Muslim terrorist dead.

Though they had convinced the U.S. that they faced deadly persecution, the Tsarnaevs’ parents both returned to their native land and were there when their sons launched last week’s terror rampage. Authorities will not reveal any details of the sob stories the Tsarnaevs originally spun to win asylum benefits for the entire family.

The whole thing stinks. And it’s an old, familiar stench. Immigration lawyers have been working the system on behalf of asylum con artists for decades. The racketeers coach applicants with phony stories and documents from “chop shops” and game their way through “refugee roulette.”

Asylum and refugee claimants are being rubber-stamped at all-time-high rates. Government data analyzed by the nonpartisan TRAC website show that “the odds of an asylum claim being denied in Immigration Court reached an historic low in FY 2012, with only 44.5 percent being turned down. Ten years ago, almost two out of three (62.6 percent) individuals seeking asylum lost their cases in similar actions. Twenty years ago, fewer than one out of four (24 percent) asylum applicants won their cases, while three out of four (76 percent) lost.”

The game is rigged in favor of identity-group hustlers, who mau-mau adjudicators whose approval rates don’t meet their approval.

Soft-on-enforcement lobbying groups argue that it’s better to err on the side of allowing bogus asylum-seekers and refugees to stay than to get serious about cracking down on fraud and send undeserving foreigners home. It’s not “practical” or worth it, they say.

But what about the “if it saves just one life” standard set by President Obama? Why does it only apply to gun control? Why won’t Washington err on the side of public safety by reexamining and overhauling our fraud-riddled asylum, detention, deportation and visa issuance policies after the Boston jihad?

In case you’d forgotten, the Tsarnaevs were not the first murder-minded jihadists to benefit from ineffective policing of our asylum and refugee policies. As I’ve reported previously:

–Ramzi Yousef landed at New York City’s JFK airport from Pakistan and flashed an Iraqi passport without a visa to inspectors. He was briefly detained for illegal entry and fingerprinted, but was allowed to remain in the country after invoking the magic words “political asylum.” Yousef was released for lack of detention space and headed to Jersey City to plot the deadly 1993 World Trade Center bombing.

–Gazi Ibrahim Abu Mezer, a Palestinian bomb-builder, entered the U.S. illegally through Canada in 1996-97. He claimed political asylum based on phony persecution by Israelis, was released on a reduced $5,000 bond posted by a man who was himself an illegal alien and then skipped his asylum hearing. In June 1997, a federal immigration judge ordered Mezer to leave on a “voluntary departure order.” Mezer ignored him. He joined the New York City bombing plot before being arrested in July 1997 after a roommate tipped off local police.

–Mir Aimal Kansi, convicted in 1997 of capital murder and nine other charges stemming from his January 1993 shooting spree outside the CIA headquarters in McLean, Va., also exploited our insane asylum laxity. Despite his history as a known Pakistani militant who had participated in anti-American protests abroad, Kansi received a business visa in 1991. After arrival, he claimed political asylum based on his ethnic minority status in Pakistan. While his asylum application was pending, he obtained a driver’s license and an AK-47, murdered two CIA agents and wounded three others.

–Somali national Nuradin Abdi, the al-Qaida shopping mall bomb plotter convicted in 2007, first entered the U.S. in 1995 using a false passport. He entered again illegally from Canada in 1997 and secured asylum on false grounds. Abdi then was able to fraudulently obtain a refugee travel document, which he used to fly to Ethiopia and, yes, Chechnya for jihad training.

–Among the convicted Fort Dix (N.J.) jihad plotters were three ethnic Albanian illegal alien brothers, Dritan, Shain and Eljvir Duka, who snuck into the country through Mexico with their parents. In 1984, the father applied for asylum, but the feds ignored them for two decades. In the meantime, as America showed the Dukas’ refugee community unmatched compassion and generosity, the Muslim trio returned the favor by planning to massacre U.S. soldiers.

As always, political correctness and political pandering are the handmaidens of terrorism.

NYPD’s Ray Kelly: Boston Bombers Represent New Jihadist Threat

NYPD’s Ray Kelly: Boston Bombers Represent New Jihadist Threat

By: Bill Hoffmann

New York City Police Commissioner Ray Kelly believes the Boston Marathon bombings were a type of jihad attack that is on the rise in the United States.

“I see this as an ongoing pattern. We’ve seen these radicalized young men do, or try to do, similar things,’’ Kelly told Newsmax TV’s “The Steve Malzberg Show.’’

Story continues below video.

“We’ve had 16 plots here against the city, many of them involving young, disaffected men who are committed to killing Americans.’’

Kelly said those threats have remained “relatively constant’’ and “we don’t see it waning.’’

“What we do see is a shift from the sort of organized, top-down direction than we saw early on after 9/11 from al-Qaida to a more free-form, do-what-you-can approach,’’ Kelly said.

“[That’s] where individuals will get, in essence, radicalized on the Internet. They usually have someone who is a sanctioner that leads them along or mentors them.’’

He pointed to a 2007 study conducted by two of the NYPD’s top intelligence analysts that looked at the radicalization process of future terrorists.

“[They are] what they call unremarkable young men who go into four phases of jihadization,’’ Kelly said.

“They’re looking for a place in the world. They’re looking for meaning, looking for a cause. … They decide to get jihad. And after that decision is made, they can act pretty quickly.’’

Kelly said security in New York City was heightened immediately following the Boston Marathon explosions last week, but has since returned to normal levels.

“We see ourselves at a higher level all the time. We invest heavily in counterterrorism. We have 1,000 police officers … every day doing counterterrorism duties,’’ Kelly said.

“That’s certainly a higher number, percentage-wise … than any city I’m aware of. But, you know, there are no guarantees in this business. We know that big cities are vulnerable. We have an open society and things can happen here.’’

Kelly said it is still unclear as to whether the two brothers implicated in the bombings acted on their own.

“That is probably still an open question. … Two people are in custody who sort of helped their cause after they knew that they had committed the bombing,’’ he said.

“I’d like to have a little more time go by before we make a final determination of that. But the initial indication is that they did it on their own.’’

Kelly is monitoring the breaking terrorism case in Canada — in which authorities Monday arrested two men for allegedly plotting an al-Qaida attack on a passenger train traveling between Canada and the United States.

“We have police agencies involved in Amtrak in the northeastern part of the country,’’ Kelly said.

“We have almost daily communication. So, the protection, if you will, on the railroad lines in the country is probably as good as it’s ever been. No guarantees there, either, but we’re certainly working in a coordinated fashion.’’

Jihad is in America – Pamela Geller warns, ‘This obfuscation and denial has to stop’

Jihad is in America

Exclusive: Pamela Geller warns, ‘This obfuscation and denial has to stop’
Pamela Geller is the publisher of and the author of the WND Books title “Stop the Islamization of America: A Practical Guide to the Resistance.”

The surviving Boston jihadi has caught, and the mainstream media is now turning to the question of Why? The Washington Post ran a story headlined, “Search for why begins.” Chicago Tribune had “Boston Marathon bombing investigation turns to motive.” The Huffington Post ran as a headline the single word: “Why?”

Why, indeed? Why do the media cover up, obfuscate and mislead the American people about the gravest national security threat this nation faces? Why do the enemedia viciously attack anyone who is brave enough to suffer the libel, defamation and death threats that follow speaking out against jihad and Shariah? This is a sickness – a societal death wish and orgy of self-hatred. The furious rush to sanitize the motive is the sanction of the victim. The enemedia are disarming the American people, inevitably leading sheep to slaughter.

Worst of all was Elspeth Reeve of the Atlantic Wire, who ran a spiteful story titled, “The U.S. Anti-Muslim Crowd Is Quite Pleased with Itself.” As the wounds are still gaping and the baby’s body not yet cold, the ghouls on the left attack those of us who have been warning of this very thing.

This vicious tool should be thanking me and apologizing for the years of smears, defamation and libel that the enemedia have directed against me, my work and my colleagues. Instead, she aids and abets the most gruesome slaughterers ever on American soil.

And there is more enemedia willful blindness from Time: They talk about some of their obvious jihadi ties and then say that there is no evidence that Dzhokhar was motivated by religion – as if the brothers had different motives, and ignoring Dzhokhar’s statement that his “worldview” was “Islam.”

The media’s knee-jerk reaction is to go into full spin mode, not to take a step back and think, or to say to themselves, “Maybe we got this wrong.”

The jihadists told us why. What’s it going to take?

Tamerlan and Dzhokhar Tsarnaev have deeply imbibed the jihad ideology that permeates Chechnya and the Muslim areas of the Russia Caucasus in general. And even the mainstream media can’t entirely ignore this: The New York Times reports: ”On Vkontakte, Russia’s most popular social media platform, the younger brother, Dzhokhar, describes his worldview as ‘Islam’ and … lists a verse from the Koran, ‘Do good, because Allah loves those who do good.’”

Apparently targeting, mutilating, and slaughtering women and children falls under the category of “doing good.”

Tamerlan Tsarnaev said: “I’m very religious.” His aunt revealed that he had recently became a devout Muslim, praying five times a day. His brother Dzhokhar tweeted: “I don’t know of anything in this Dunya that could uplift & increase the good manners & behavior of a person the way Islam does.” Their brother-in-law said: “I’m not a Muslim and they didn’t accept me.” This was yet more evidence that the Boston bombers were devout Muslims. It’s no surprise that they didn’t accept him, since. Islamic law forbids Muslim women to marry non-Muslim men. Yet their sister did just that – so they wouldn’t have anything to do with their brother-in-law. He and their sister had violated Islamic law.

Nor were they just pious, religious Muslims. They were clearly sympathizers with violent jihadists. Tamerlan subscribed to a YouTube channel entitled Allah is the One. He posted a video that hails “the promised emergence of the black flags [of jihad] from the promised land of Khorasan,” and lauds jihadis who are posing “with a flag of the Taliban’s Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan.” Dzhokhar posted a video praising the jihadists in Syria: “Congratulations to you those suffer for, who go through martyrdom of Allah illaha ill Allah … Calling, calling Allah. I am appealing to Allah. Wake up, wake up followers of Allah.” Tamerlan apparently died wearing a suicide vest, and some reports said that Dzhokhar was wearing one when he was apprehended.

Again and again we see that Muslims who commit jihad violence are pious and devout. This makes the willful blindness of the media, as well as government and law enforcement, particularly unconscionable. History will remember these tools for what they were.

The jihad is in America. This obfuscation and denial has to stop.

Bombing Suspect Captured

The sought-after suspect in the Boston Marathon bombings was arrested Friday night — taken from a boat parked on a trailer behind a house in the suburban town of Watertown, police said.

Dzhokhar A. Tsarnaev, 19, was taken into custody about 8:45 p.m., the Massachusetts State Police said. Officials had asked for an ambulance for him.

Suspect in custody. Officers sweeping the area,” Boston Police said on Twitter at 8:45 p.m.

We Got Him,” tweeted Boston Mayor Thomas Menino.

Anzor Tsarnaev, the father of the teenage suspect told ABC News, “Thank God,” when informed his son was taken alive.

Tsarnaev, a Chechen native who became a naturalized U.S. citizen last year on the anniversary of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks, had “unspecified medical needs,” federal authorities told CNN.

The arrest came after Tsarnaev had been surrounded by police for more than an hour — and cheers erupted from residents as police and other law-enforcement professionals left the area.

The authorities were tipped about someone being in the boat by a resident who “noticed some blood by the boat,” WBZ-TV reported onTwitter at 8:19 p.m.

Shortly after 8:30 p.m., a hostage negotiator was brought in, the television station reported.

Minutes later, the Globe tweeted that a photographer could hear police say: “We know you’re in there. Come out on your own terms. Come out with your hands up.”

Fifteen minutes later, Boston police reported that Tsarnaev was taken into custody.

Tsarnaev’s capture capped a tumultuous 24 hours that included a frantic shootout with police that killed his 26-year-old brother Tamerlan — also considered a suspect in the bombings — the fatal shooting of an M.I.T. police officer, the serious wounding of a Boston public transit officer and a virtual lockdown of the Boston region as authorities swept the area the surviving suspect.

The final developments began within moments after authorities said at a news conference that Tsarnaev had eluded a dragnet by abandoning a car and escaping on foot.

Heavily armed police had been searching a 20-block area of Watertown since about 11 p.m. on Thursday.

Residents told the Globe of pandemonium outside their doors in the moments leading to Tsarnaev’s arrest.

“There’s a lot of shooting,” Lisa Bontempi told the Globe. “I’m really scared. I’ve got to go.”

The final developments began within moments after Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick announed mass transit service would resume in Boston and the lockdown order for residents has been lifted.

Authorities said at a news conference that Tsarnaev had eluded a dragnet by abandoning a car and escaping on foot. They urged residents to “remain vigilant if you are out.”

Less than an hour after press conference, CNN and Fox news reporters said about 20 to 30 shots rang out.

Residents told The Boston Globe of pandemonium outside their doors in the moments leading to Tsarnaev’s arrest.

“There’s a lot of shooting,” Lisa Bontempi told the Globe. “I’m really scared. I’ve got to go.”

Earlier on Friday, hundreds of cops and SWAT sharpshooters in Boston continued the frantic manhunt for the heavily-armed 19-year-old suspect in the Boston Marathon bombings.

Despite an overnight shootout with police that resulted in the death of Tsarnaev’s older brother and an intense door-to-door search, slipped through the dragnet and fled on foot after abandoning a stolen vehicle.

The extraordinary manhunt, which shut down Boston and its surrounding suburbs, followed a bloody night of explosions and gunfire in the streets. An MIT police officer was shot and killed, and a transit police officer wounded, by the suspects, police said.

Tsarnaev’s older brother Tamerlan, 26, also suspected in the marathon bombings, was killed in a wild shootout with police after the two suspects carjacked a vehicle and led police on a high-speed chase. So desperate was Dzhokhar to flee authorities that he floored his escape vehicle, running over his dying brother, police said.

Police warned residents of Boston and its surrounding suburbs to remain inside their homes with the doors locked as the search continued. All bus and train services in and out of Boston, including Amtrak, Bolt Bus and Megabus, have been suspended in a bid to close off possible escape routes.

The suspects’ uncle, Ruslan Tsarni, called his nephews “losers” and urged Dzhokhar to surrender.

“We are ashamed,” he told reporters outside his home in Maryland. “Somebody radicalized them, but it wasn’t my brother.’’

But the aunt suspects’ aunt Maret Tsarnaeva, who said she was responsible for helping them move to the U.S., insisted they were innocent and could not be “part of this terrible, horrible act that was committed in the streets of Boston.’’

“I know these two nephews, smart boys, good boys, they have no motive for that, they have no ideas to be going to this kind of act. It’s just not the case, it cannot be true,’’ she said.

The brothers were identified on Thursday as the only suspects in the Monday’s devastating marathon explosions which killed three people and injured 176 others, many of them maimed for life with missing arms, legs and eyes.

Along with public transportation being suspended, air space was shut to commercial jets as sophisticated surveillance helicopters took over to search for clues. All classes and student activities at Harvard University and M.I.T., and public and private schools were closed.

The fast moving events began Thursday as FBI officials identified the two brothers as suspects in the devastating blasts caused by pressure cookers that were fashioned into homemade bombs and left in backpacks near the marathon’s finish line — the worst attack on U.S. soil since 9/11.

About five hours after the FBI released surveillance photos showing the two brothers walking near the scene of the explosions, a MIT university police officer was shot and killed on the university’s campus.

Minutes later, the two men staged a carjacking, holding their victim inside the vehicle for a half an hour before releasing him unharmed. They bragged to the terrified car owner that they were the marathon bombers, according to police.

Cops chased the brothers’ vehicle to suburban Watertown, with the pair brazenly hurling live explosives at police from their car. The pursuing officers and the suspects also exchanged fire.

During the gun fight, the older brother was struck multiple times. He was taken to Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and pronounced dead of multiple internal injuries from numerous gunshots and injuries possibly caused by the detonation of an explosive device strapped to his body.

The slain M.I.T. officer, identified as Sean Collier, was described by his roommate as an “awesome’’ and brave man.’’

“He was the guy who went to help,” the roommate said. “The best guy got shot down by the biggest scumbags.”

A government official told The New York Times that Dzhokhar came to the U.S. in 2002 with his father and mother on a regular visa and applied for refugee status. His older brother Tamerlan came about a year later. Dzhokhar became a naturalized U.S. citizen last September.

The brothers have two sisters, one of whom lives with her husband in West New York, N.J. FBI agents had sealed off the sister’s home Friday afternoon and were said to be questioning her to see if she has had any recent contact with her surviving brother.

Authorities are attempting to determine if the attacks may be linked to the ongoing call for Chechen independence.

A Russian language website site with Dzhokhar Tsarneav’s name hailed Islamic websites and freedom fighters calling for the liberation of Chechen. The author said he was a 2011 graduate of Cambridge Rindge and Latin School and attended elementary school in Makhachkala, the capital of Dagestan, a Russian province bordering Chechnya.

The website also contained links to videos of fighters in the Syrian civil war and Islamic web pages. One was titled “There is no God by Allah, let that ring out in our hearts.”

Former Assistant U.S. Attorney Andrew McCarthy told Newsmax TV’s Steve Malzberg he believes that at least one if not both of the suspects had “paramilitary training.’’

Late Friday morning, FBI Director Robert Mueller and Attorney General Eric Holder briefed President Obama on the latest developments.

Secretary of State John Kerry praised the fast response of law enforcement and called the manhunt “a pretty direct confrontation with evil.”

Senate Intelligence Committee chairwoman Dianne Feinstein told NBC News the marathon bombing was “a terrorist attack.” She added: “It’s also clear, you know, that you know you don’t have to be a card-carrying member of any terrorist group to commit a terrorist attack.’’

Just after 12 noon, police in Cambridge carried out a “controlled explosion’’ of several explosive devices that belonged to the two suspects.

Although it is not known yet who is responsible for Monday’s heinous bombings at the Boston Marathon that killed three and injured more than 100 people, a source within Iranian intelligence services told WND the Islamic regime was behind them and to look for trails through Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.

The source said the bombs were planted near the end of the race so that the horrific images of the blasts would be captured by all the media there and be replayed over and over throughout the world.

A senior commander of the Islamic regime had warned less than two months ago that terrorism was coming to America.

“If the people of America and Europe do not confront the aggressive policies of their governments, they cannot then remain far from the possible future events (terror attacks),” the regime’s armed forces deputy chief of staff, Brig. Gen. Masoud Jazayeri, said in a Feb. 23 interview with Fars News Agency, a media outlet run by the Revolutionary Guards. “Al-Qaida groups and other services which operate for the interests of America (in Syria) will soon change the region of their operations and thereafter create new problems for America and Europe.”

Jazayeri, objecting to U.S. involvement in the Syrian civil war, warned that explosions similar to those in Syria would take place in other countries.

With information from a source in the supreme leader’s office, WND reported exclusively on Dec. 11, 2012, that a team of Quds Force terrorist leaders had infiltrated the United States to attack from within in 2013. The source said the team is to create instability in America through terrorism should the U.S. fail to accept the regime’s illicit nuclear program or increase sanctions, confront Iran militarily or intervene in the Syrian civil war.

In a WND exclusive report on Feb. 28, the source said that a six-member team, including an explosives specialist, was to join 10 Quds Force commanders who already have a cell of 50 terrorists in the U.S. The source added that Iran is working with al-Qaida factions because al-Qaida attacks would not leave behind a link to Tehran.

The source for today’s information blamed the Islamic regime for the Boston attack and pointed to the collaboration of the regime’s Quds Forces with Hezbollah and elements of al-Qaida with links to individuals in Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. He said that under Quds Force guidance, Hezbollah recruited Sunni terrorists allied with al-Qaida factions in Sri Lanka and Bangladesh, who then entered the U.S. for terrorist activities.

The information has been shared with U.S. officials.

But until the FBI and other U.S. agencies complete their investigations, all information regarding the bombings must be considered with great caution and any conclusions would be premature.

If the source is correct, however, then three individuals will likely have had a hand in planning and preparing for the attack:

  • Mustafa Badr Al Din, the brother-in-law and cousin of the dead terrorist Imad Mugniyah, who now serves as Mugnyiah’s replacement as the military leader of Hezbollah and who also serves as the deputy of Qasem Soliemani, the head of the Islamic regime’s Quds Forces.
  • Mohammad Ali Hamadei, on the FBI’s most-wanted list, a Hezbollah operator responsible for operation and infiltration of forces into America who was based in New Mexico with a Latin American passport and who was also seen last year in England.
  • Talal Hamieh, the head of Hezbollah’s External Security Organization responsible for operations outside of Lebanon. He has been in Mexico collaborating with drug cartels to raise funds for Hezbollah cells and facilitates the transfer of arms and terrorists into the U.S.

Both Badr Al Din and Hamieh were designated for sanctions by the U.S. Treasury Department last year for their involvement in terrorist activities throughout the world.

In the aftermath of the Boston bombings, Fars News Agency put out a piece headlined, “Obama in deep trouble if Boston bombing was by Salafis (ultraconservative Sunni Muslims).”

Fars said one reason that Obama has not linked the Boston bombing to al-Qaida is that his administration wants to show it has defeated al-Qaida and any mention of the terrorist group would undermine his position.

It ominously mentioned that America is now allied with the Salafis and al-Qaida in confronting Syria’s Bashar Assad and that if it’s proven that the same elements were responsible for the bombings in Boston, then Obama would be severely criticized by the American public.

Fars, as with the earlier warning by Jazayeri, denounced Obama’s decision to help the opposition in Syria and hinted that the Boston attack is related to al-Qaida and the hardcore Sunnis. It concluded that Obama would likely not name them as the guilty party to save face.

Although the Islamic regime has long warned that America will not be safe from its reach and that it must not only accept Iran’s nuclear program but also end its support for the opposition in Syria, there is no proven link yet between Boston and Tehran.

In an interview with WND today, former FBI Associate Deputy Director Oliver “Buck” Revell, who was head of the FBI’s intelligence and counter terrorism programs, explained how the Boston investigation will proceed:

Dangerously rewriting history

Exclusive: Pamela Geller exposes manufactured Muslim myths presented as fact

Today we are at a point where history and facts must be “erased” and rewritten, because truth is racist-Islamophobic-anti-Muslim bigotry. Historical revisionism has taken on a new life, as history is scrubbed and manufactured Muslim myths are presented as fact.

Pioneering historian Bat Ye’or recently visited the British Museum and found that “Palestinian propaganda and its cohorts of EU bowdlerizing troops have also visited the Museum – which is why all the information notes pertaining to the artifacts that mention the history of the Kingdoms of Judea and Israel now also mention the word “Palestine” – even 3,000 years B.C. – while the name was only given to the land in 135 A.D. by Roman Emperor Hadrian when he incorporated it into the Roman Empire.”

This is beyond depressing; it’s shocking. The “Big Lie” Nazi-esque narrative has been thrust upon every corner of culture, education and “dialogue” in the weak and subdued West. There is no escape from this Islamic imperialism. Shariah enforcement extends far beyond the obvious attempts to silence critics of jihad and Shariah. The scrubbing of the 270 million victims of jihadi wars, land appropriations, cultural annihilations and enslavements from academic texts has been going on for well over a decade. The demonization and smearing of politicians who dare speak against the most extreme and radical ideology on the face of the earth is virtually automatic at this point, as is the self-enforcing Shariah compliance of the mainstream media. And now, history itself is being rewritten.

There is no “historical” Palestine – it’s Israel. The Romans wanted to punish the Jews after their defeat at Masada in the first century. The Roman emperor Hadrian meant to erase the name of Israel and Judah, so that there would be no memory of the country that belonged to that Jewish people. He wanted a name that would humiliate the Jews, and found that in an extinct people called the “Philistines,” the enemies of the Israelites.

Some things never change – but it is fitting that the namesake of today’s “Palestinians” is the Philistines. And they do indeed mirror the savagery of that ancient and now-extinct people.

Nor is the British Museum alone. 1001 Muslim Inventions, a traveling museum exhibit, has appeared all over the West to huge acclaim. (A half-million visitors attended it in Los Angeles alone.) It has indoctrinated hundreds of thousands of children into a rosy and romanticized view of Islam that makes them less appreciative of their own culture’s achievements and more complacent about Islamization in the West.

J. Christian Adams visited this exhibit. He recounted that the exhibit presents a Muslim inventor, Abbas Ibn Firnas, as one who “dared to dream man could fly 1,000 years before the Wright Brothers.” Firnas didn’t actually succeed in flying, of course, or come close to inventing the airplane. Adams writes:

Notice all of the tricks of language. He was the first “who tried to fly,” and “passed into legend,” “more or less unharmed,” the “flying machine,” (implying moving parts), and “apparently gliding for some distance.”

But Adams’ 8-year-old daughter, seeing the exhibit, did not notice all the weasel words:

She was convinced that the Wright Brothers were not the first to fly, and instead it was Firnas launched from the mosque at Cordoba a millennium ago. This would not be the only instance when thought corrupted the language of the exhibit, which in turn corrupted thought, at least among the more impressionable.

By creating a children’s attraction, the exhibit is fostering a subliminal brainwashing that has moved into the public schools as well.

The exhibit is almost unfailingly dishonest. As Adams explains, even if everything it says about Muslim inventions were true, it does not and cannot explain why Muslims never followed up on these inventions. If Firnas were really the first to fly, why did it fall to the Wright Brothers 1,000 years later to follow up on what he supposedly discovered about how to do it? Why weren’t Muslims flying around in airplanes centuries before the Wright Brothers were born?

The British Museum and the 1001 Muslim Inventions exhibits are not history. They are propaganda, and the foolish infidels keep lining up enthusiastically for more.

YouTube cited as largest jihadi platform on Web

Site surpasses those run by large terror networks

After years of tracking and monitoring, the Middle East Media Research Institute has documented that web-video giant YouTube is the largest source of online jihadi videos.

As part of its project, the Jihad and Terrorism Threat Monitor, MEMRI found that YouTube has surpassed websites administered by large jihadi networks, which were previously the largest online source.

MEMRI volunteered to assist YouTube in its efforts to deter jihadi video posts by helping identify videos that incite violence and terrorist acts for possible removal.

In an effort to bring this danger to light, MEMRI officials met with Google Inc. and YouTube representatives to discuss the issue of jihadi videos.

Following the meeting, YouTube committed to introducing a flagging system that would allow users to flag and report content that “promotes terrorism.”

Once the system was introduced, MEMRI assisted in flagging video it thought would incite possible acts of terrorism. Among the content flagged by MEMRI were videos of Osama bin Laden and 9/11-glorification videos, as well as videos by the late Yemeni-American Sheikh Anwar Al-Awlaki, an al-Qaida leader.

But after being flagged, 58 of 100 of the former remained active; of the latter, 111 out of 127 remained active, despite MEMRI’s warning.

Most recently, a video of known al-Qaida leader Ayman Al-Zawahiri was released on multiple YouTube pages on April 6, and posted simultaneously on jihadi websites.

In the video, Al-Zawahiri calls on viewers to “exert every effort to make Syria a jihad-fighting Islamic state” that will be a step toward “restoring the rightly guided caliphate.”

He also expressed his hope that the French forces in Mali would face the same difficulties as the U.S. forces faced in Iraq and Afghanistan.

The video, posted by user “Arslan Ifriki,” had nearly 17,000 views on the first day it was posted.

Al-Zawahiri was Osama bin Laden’s chief deputy until his death in May 2011. Previously, following 9/11, Al-Zawahiri was placed on the initial list of the FBI’s top 22 Most Wanted Terrorists and the State Department had offered a $25 million reward for information leading to his apprehension.

YouTube did not respond to a WND inquiry to the media office.

MEMRI is hardly the first organization to express concern over the use of the web video giant as a platform to promote terrorism.

Counterterrorism experts in the U.S. and abroad have monitored YouTube content for years.

In the U.K., the House of Commons Home Affairs Committee launched an inquiry into the problem of YouTube-based jihadi videos.

On February 26, members of the Home Affairs Committee of the U.K. House of Commons questioned executives from social media giants Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube regarding the monitoring of content on their respective platforms.

The hearing was held partially in response to the conviction of three men who were found guilty of planning a massive suicide bombing attack.

During the trial, a recording of one of the accused was played, which featured him instructing others to listen to the words of Anwar Al-Awlaki, whose messages are available on YouTube.

Court battle ramping up over rejection of trademark application

WASHINGTON – The American Freedom Law Center has filed a notice of appeal in the United States Court of Appeals on behalf of political activists Pamela Geller and Robert Spencer, who have been refused permission by the government to trademark their “Stop Islamization of America” campaign.

Geller, a WND columnist, and Spencer head the human rights organization called Freedom of Defense Initiative, and they applied to register SIOA as a trademark with the United States Patent and Trademark Office.

The feds told them no.

The USPTO rejected FDI’s application in an “Office Action” based on the following analysis: (1) “Islamisation” means converting to Islam or “to make Islamic;” and (2), “Stop” would be understood to mean that “action must be taken to cease, or put an end to, converting or making people in America conform to Islam.”

Thus, the trademark, according to the “Office Action” ruling, disparaged Muslims and linked them to terrorism.

But SIOA’s stated goal is to “foster and provide an understanding of how to prevent Shariah-based tyranny and Islamist terrorism.”

Shariah is a controversial part of the Islamic law that has come under criticism in the West and worldwide for its repressive rules and cruel and unusual punishments for crimes. Chopping hands off convicted thieves is an example.

But the denial was upheld by the Trademark Trial & Appeal Board, and now the AFLC appealed the USPTO’s rejection.

The organization has filed a detailed brief demonstrating that the term “Islamisation” is not a broadly defined term referring to the conversion of individuals to Islam or culturally spreading Islam. Rather, the group argued that “Islamisation” refers to the specific process of implanting Shariah into society specifically for the purpose of replacing existing law with a “Shariah-compliant Islamic state,” according to FDI.

AFLC Co-Founder and Senior Counsel Robert Muise commented: “It is crucial that Americans understand the threat that our nation faces from Shariah-adherent Islam, especially from stealth jihadists who covertly seek to perpetuate Shariah into American society. This trademark does exactly that.

“The TTAB’s opinion upholding the USPTO’s rejection of the mark was forced to bend itself into a pretzel to get around the only evidence in the record. The term ‘Islamisation’ is a political movement – not religious conversion – and it can be traced to the Muslim Brotherhood, where it is found in their own documents advocating ‘civilizational jihad,’” Yerushalmo stated.

“Furthermore, the term is used frequently in professional and academic contexts,” he continued. Therefore, “stopping Islamisation” and linking this doctrine to terrorism does not implicate good, patriotic, loyal Muslims in America; instead, it is an important educational tool that raises awareness about those who seek the demise of our constitutional Republic through a Shariah-based political process.”

At the oral argument before the TTAB, Yerushalmo argued that the only evidence in the record providing an actual meaning of “Islamisation” was the definition provided by his clients.
